IPPOSI is pleased to announce that our primary focus / Annual Theme for 2018 is ‘Access to Medicines’.
Arising from this, the IPPOSI board and executive have identified seven actions in this key area for the coming year. You can review these actions on the new, dedicated page of the IPPOSI website, which includes a mission, prioritisation survey (more on this below), guiding principles, ‘Drug Iceberg’ reports (version 2.0 is due for publication shortly), and IPPOSI’s historical work in this area.
The ‘Annual Theme’ arises from the Prioritisation Exercise that was carried out in partnership with members in 2017. You can see a summary of that Exercise here.
It is IPPOSI’s intention to identify and adopt annual themes going forward, and the IPPOSI members will continue to play a vital role in guiding our focus. The immediate way for you to do this is to visit the Access to Medicines webpage and take the brief survey embedded at the top. This survey will be open until the end of February 2018.
Finally, IPPOSI wishes to reassure members that while Access to Medicines will be a major focus this year, it will not be our sole focus. We will continue to engage with – and inform you about – Public & Patient Involvement, eHealth and Health Information, Clinical Trials and Research, and Patient Education.
