The IPPOSI Think Tank on Rare Diseases aims to progress issues arising from the 2007 IPPOSI/IMB Rare Disease Report together with key stakeholders including members of Genetic and Rare Disorders Organisation (GRDO) and the Medical Research Charities Group (MRCG). One of the main activities for the Think Tank will be to work towards the development of a comprehensive national plan for rare diseases in Ireland. As a non lobbying organisation, IPPOSI's role will be to facilitate discussion and consensus building, ensuring that key policy and practical endeavours at national and international level in this area are shared. The MRCG and GRDO in their capacities will work towards progressing operationalisation by actively engaging with decision makers.
