IPPOSI Access to Innovaiton meeting

roundtableaccess

The Round Table on Access to innovaiton took place on Wednesday 6th June 2012 at 3pm and was held in European Parliment Information Centre, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2

The event was open to IPPOSI Members and invited contributors.

At the event IPPOSI facilitated a roundtable discussion with members on Access to Innovation. The Board of IPPOSI decided to call this meeting in response to reports of treatments (drugs and technologies) which have been approved for reimbursement but are not reaching patients. IPPOSI have asked key patient organisations to outline the current issues and clarify the situation for their patient members. In the discussion, we will address the wider view on the systems used to approve innovative therapies rather than focusing on specifics. As an outcome from this meeting we hope to identify key recommendations to be presented to decision makers.
