IPPOSI is pleased to announce a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Health Innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI). The MoU is of mutual interest to both organisations and will establish a closer working relationship to maximise IPPOSI and HIHI offerings.

The commitments in the MoU will facilitate IPPOSI and HIHI working closely together in the areas of patient education, representation and empowerment.

Ava Battles, Chair of IPPOSI said:

“We are very pleased to sign a memorandum of understanding with HIHI and look forward to collaborating with them to strengthen the voice of patients at the heart of their work.  We will facilitate the establishment of patient representation in HIHI, and through our working more closely together, we will maximise the impact of our respective education programmes.”

HIHI National Director Colman Casey said:

“Patient’s interests and viewpoints are crucial to HIHI in how we operate and deliver for both Irish healthcare and Irish health companies. This formal working agreement with IPPOSI will strengthen this.

“The MoU covers patient involvement in the HIHI Steering Committee, judging in the competitive pitch process of annual call to industry, mutual support for our respective education programmes and a joint commitment to patient empowerment in health innovation.”

The HIHI and IPPOSI MoU is for an initial two-year period from February 1, 2019.
