The field of eHealth and Electronic Health Records is entering an important phase in Ireland, particularly since the advent of Slaintecare. The Irish healthcare and research environments need to develop standardised, user-friendly solutions to provide access to people’s health information, and to facilitate appropriate sharing of health data.
This IPPOSI conference offers a unique forum for discussions on how the design & development of ehealth technologies in Ireland can be based on people’s needs, with a focus on ethical sharing, patients’ privacy and respect for people’s choices and preferences.
The conference aligns under the 2019 IPPOSI Theme of ‘Patient Data’ and is designed to encourage discussion and debate on the design and development of eHealth technologies in Ireland. An IPPOSI Outcome report summarising discussions and presentations will be produced after the meeting, with a view to establishing further dialogue and interactions into the future.
